SDV AGM Sunday 28 January 2024 – short review

A hugely successful evening was held at the Bognor Golf Club at the end of January. 25 members were in attendance to have a free drink or two and chat all things cycling.

Louis gave an excellent round up of his first year as Chairman, including his own personal highlights. Louis’ Annual Review can be found in full in the AGM minutes.

This year we started things off with a fun Top Trumps competition that Fiona had put together, with prizes for those hitting the top numbers on Strava in 2023. You now know what to aim for if you want to take a Top Trump spot in 2024! Here’s the winners:-

Ian Stewart - Most Miles – 8,872 miles 

Fran Blake - Most Elevation – 303,969 ft 

Phil Wise – Longest Ride in a single day 171.1 miles  

Neil Dawtrey – Highest Elevation in a single day 11,309 ft

Kevin Cornish – Most Punctures in a day!

Prizes were also awarded to the Monthly Strava Segment overall winners for 2023 and these were Louis Davis & Fran Blake. It is great to see more members giving this a go and we hope for more spirited competition in 2024.
